I’m the middle child. Third born in a family of six. So that makes me a natural bridge builder. I’ve been building bridges from the womb! Whether it was trying to get my older ones to see the point of view of my younger ones, or trying to get our parents to see our point of view (without much success), I’ve always tried to bring people together and bridge various gaps that exist.

In my earlier career as a credit analyst and risk manager, I was trying to channel funds from the financial sector to the real sector of the economy. In my time working with the government as a policy adviser to a cabinet minister, I was trying to bridge the gap between the governed and the government; between government policies and every day citizens. In my time as an entrepreneur, I was trying to bridge the gap between ideas and execution.

In my current role, running an impact-focused business member organization, I find myself in the middle often times, trying to bridge the gap between the regulator or the government and commercial operators, and also between various operators, trying to create a healthy atmosphere for the industry to thrive. The role also affords me the privilege of helping to bridge the gap between long term pension funds and savings to impactful projects and sectors that will lead to National development and overall economic growth.

Interestingly, we just started a radio program and podcast series titled “Middleman” (not planned at all). Here I speak to a number of C suite executives in the pension industry on all things pension, investments and retirement planning.

So that’s me in a nutshell. The man in the middle. Standing between two parties, divides or two extremes, trying to bring them together by building a bridge. Recently, I’m finding my role expanding to bridging the gap between Africa and the West; helping to channel funding and expertise from the west to business, projects and funds that require it to impact African societies and communities and Nation States.

Overall, my life’s mission is to be a bridge between Heaven and Earth; bringing the philosophies and principles of Heaven to earth.

Principles of:
Excellence
Equity and Justice
Integrity
Creativity and Innovation
Visionary leadership
In the greater good
Global Impact
